Michael Turner's Brief and Online Resources

Michael T. Turner is a graduate of Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science in 2002 and a Master of Science degree in the Social Sciences in 2005 emphasizing Emergency Management Policy and Economics.  Additionally, from 2004 forward, he has completed numerous certificate programs including Multi-Hazard Planning for Schools, National Incident Management System training, and Emergency Management graduate certification from FSU.  In 2006, his analysis of the actuarial fiscal stability of the National Flood Insurance Program was referenced in an evaluative study for the Federal Emergency Management Agency by the American Institutes for Research.

Michael is President of The Turner Network, a communications management and consulting services company.  Turner also serves as CEO of Camellia Gardens Condominiums Association, Inc. and President of the FSU Seminole Flying Club.  In 2006, he accepted the "Neighborhood of the Year" Award for Camellia Gardens from the City of Tallahassee Commission.  From 2004-2008, Michael's experience in numerous personal, business, and governmental agency consulting projects lead to ongoing work with the Jacksonville based Florida Institute of Education (FIE).  In 2009, Michael accepted a multi-year contract with the Apalachee Regional Planning Council where he specializes in agricultural disaster planning.  Additionally, since 1999, Turner has been employed at Tallahassee's Seminole Golf Club; his most senior position serving as the Coordinator of Business & Financial Services.

Prior to his transfer to Florida, Michael lived in the metro Atlanta area, and graduated with honors in 1998 from Brookwood High School.  He has also lived in Deltona, Florida and Fairfax, Virginia.  Michael is an avid general aviation pilot and golfer, but often finds the greatest inspiration for new ideas and projects through active community volunteerism.
